OPPORTUNITIES WITH WDC
AVAILABLE DANCE TEAMS & PERFORMING GROUPS
Our teams and groups are Expressions of Praise (EOP), Legends in the Making (LITM), Flygirls and CORE. Auditions for Legends in the Making (LITM) and Flygirls auditions are in August. (More info TBA). Members of the Expressions of Praise team are selected by the director, Winter D. McCray. CORE Performing Group is selected by the Lead Instructor, Janesa Richardson. Special Productions
Our annual special productions include a Christmas production titled “Home for the Holidays” or a Black History Production titled “Oh Happy Day”. Participation is required and there is a fee for participation in these productions. See the Tuition & Fees page for more information.
Summer Camp
Winter Dance Company holds a four- week camp during the month of June. Campers take classes in ballet, jazz, hip hop, health & wellness, cheernastics and other exciting activities. A staff of professionals works with students for an exciting, educational, and fun-filled four-week session. Registration begins April 1st. Summer camp participants also perform in the annual recital. See the Summer Camp page for more information.
Dance Training & Performance Opportunities
Training is essential for a dancer’s progression in dance. Dance workshops and various performance opportunities will be available for interested students. Since dance is a performing art, performances give a sense of accomplishment and an opportunity to showcase their talents. There may be additional costs for participation and costumes for these opportunities. More information TBA.
